SPRIXIN’s Power Forecasting System in ‘Lugu DC’ UHV Wind Power Outbound Project

Recently accepted, SPRIXIN's 500MW Jilu Santuan wind power project in Changling County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province was successfully connected to the grid this month. Through the self-built 220kV booster station, the power generated by the wind farm is connected to the 500kV Longfeng substation of the State Grid and finally passes through Lugu: 800kV UHV, and is sent to Shandong Province for consumption. The project is an essential part of Jilin Province's external transmission of 3 million kilowatts of wind power using "Lugu DC " UHV. Provided by SPRIXIN, the wind power forecasting system has been installed and commissioned very smoothly. As the system operates stably, more reference data will be provided for the continuous model repair of the system for higher forecasting accuracy, ensuring friendly wind power generation and grid connection, and contributing to inter-provincial power transmission that promotes new energy consumption in Jilin Province.

Jilin Province is located in the mid-latitude westerly wind zone, where strong westerly winds blow at high altitudes all year round, and even the wind speed at low altitudes is higher than that at other latitudes. The wind speed in the area where the wind farm is located is even higher than the average wind speed in Jilin Province for the area has a special terrain that is easy to form the narrow tube effect. With prominent advantages in wind resources, the Jilu Santuan wind power project is of great importance to the low-carbon endeavors in China.
