Recently, SPRIXIN's PV+battery project in Horqin Zuoyihouqi, Inner Mongolia has been successfully accepted. The project has a photovoltaic installed capacity of 100MW and is equipped with 30MW/60MWh BESS (battery energy storage system). SPRIXIN is the provider of its iEMS (intelligent energy management system) and PFR (primary frequency regulation).
On the afternoon of April 9, 2023, the project successfully passed the grid-connected test of the Eastern Inner Mongolia Electric Power Research Institute. This is the first project in the Eastern Inner Mongolian region to conduct and pass the experiments. Passing the experimental certification signifies that the BESS of the project, including SPRIXIN’s iEMS and PFR products, can meet all the requirements of the Mengdong Power Grid!
SPRIXIN’s iEMS not only ensures the stable operation of the BESS by monitoring the data collected from the battery systems but also achieves peak-shaving and valley-filling of electricity with intelligent charging and discharging strategies. In addition, the iEMS coordinately controls the PFR equipment so that it can adjust the frequency of the 35kV line of the BESS by directly controlling the PCS. This way, SPRIXIN’s PFR equipment can complete the frequency regulation of the grid-connected line faster and more precisely than to control the PV generator sets.
iEMS+PFR is just one of the combined applications of SPRIXIN’s ‘iEMS+’. According to different energy storage application scenarios and users’ needs, SPRIXIN provides customized iEMS+ solutions. For example, iEMS + power trading aims at maximizing user benefits by making charging and discharging strategies that best serve the BESS participating in electricity transactions.
